Glamour Doll Eyes: Product Info, Reviews and Swatches

I am so excited to finally try out some Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows!
I've heard and read some great reviews about this Las Vegas-based indie brand, so when they allowed me the opportunity to try out some of their products, I was jumping for joy.

I was told that I could choose 6 sample pots of my choice - and I must admit, I had such a hard time picking which shades to go for. They are all SO beautiful and eye catching, but I narrowed my choices down to:

Jayne, Celestial Crow, Candy Floss, Just Bitten, Infectious and Ladies Night

Please note this post will be image heavy.

Each Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadow can be purchased in either full or sample sized pots and baggies, and are NOT tested on animals. Bonus!

  • Jayne is described as an emerald green with aqua sparkle.

You can see from the image that was taken with flash that there are also beautiful flecks of gold and green sparkle in this product as well as the aqua sparkle that is mentioned in the product description. This eyeshadow felt particularly soft to the touch and although probably one of GDE's less dramatic shades, it certainly doesn't lack in gorgeousness and is probably one of my favourite colours out of the whole bunch

I did, however, find that I really needed to pack this pigment on to make the most out of colour pay-off in comparison to the other shades that I received.

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, face and nails, although it is not safe to use on lips. This product is also vegan.

  • Celestial Crow is described as a blackened blue with intense green shimmer.

This colour is absolutely striking. I normally tend to steer away from blue eyeshadows as I have quite blue eyes and it doesn't really make the most of them, but I found this almost impossible to resist. Like Jayne, this shadow is particularly soft to the touch and applies smoothly. I'm tempted to say it's possibly one of the most shimmery shadows out of my selection.

This colour needed a little packing on to achieve a completely opaque result, but did not take as much packing on as Jayne needed.

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, face and nails, although it is not safe to use on lips. This product is also vegan.

  • Candy Floss is described as a bright pink with purple sparkle and a light purple undertone.

Another eyeshadow that will undoubtedly turn heads! The light purple undertone in this eyeshadow is particularly noticeable when swatched, which you will see images of at the end of this post. This ultra girly, super sparkly eyeshadow will make sure you are never over-looked ever again.

I would say this is probably one of the most pigmented eyeshadows out of the lot - it definitely doesn't need much product to get a good, opaque finish and I found a little of this product certainly goes a long way.

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, face, lips and nails and is NOT vegan.

  • Just Bitten is desribed as a shimmery burgundy with gold sparkle.

When swatching this colour, I found that it also applied brilliantly and little product was needed to get great colour pay off. The sparkles in this eyshadow are definitely less prominent than those found in Jayne, Celestial Crow or Infectious, making it a perfectly balanced finish for the this very sexy shade.

You can see from the image that was taken with flash that the burgundy particles also reflect beautiful pink shades alongside a touch of gold, adding a little bit of girlishness to this otherwise vampy eyeshadow.

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, lips, face and nails. This product is also vegan.

  • Infectious is described as a dark burnt orange with black undertones and red and gold shimmer.

I think out of all of the shades I chose this will definitely be the one that I get the most use out of. This colour looked INSANE when I tried it out on my eyelid against my blue eyes. The reddish pink shimmer add a whole other dimension to this eyeshadow, and once again, it's incredible sparkly and applied like a dream. Very little product was used to get a good, even swatch.

If it's once thing I've learned from swatching these eyeshadows, it's that Glamour Doll Eyes do not go lightly on the sparkles and shimmer!

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, lips, face and nails. This product is also vegan.

  • Ladies Night is described as a beautiful matte black with a hint of aqua glitter.

This is definitely another eyeshadow that immediately caught my eye when I was browsing Glamour Doll Eyes' website. It looks absolutely stunning in the pot, however, if I'm completely honest it's the only eyeshadow that let me down slightly.

This eyeshadow feels a lot grittier to the touch than the rest of the eyeshadows I chose, and it appears to be a lot less finely milled. I found I had to pack this one on more so than what I had to with any of the others.

When swatched, I was also slightly disappointed at much of the blue sparkle was actually visible. It was definitely there, but just not as visible as I initially expected it to be. I plan to try this eyeshadow out with a black base instead of a neutral base, in hope that the dark contrast will help bring out more of the aqua glitter.

Having said that, the fantastic thing about Ladies Night is that it is, as described, extremely matte.

This eyeshadow is suitable for use on eyes, lips, face and nails. This product is also vegan.

All in all, I absolutely love these eyeshadows and am totally mesmerised by how pretty they are. I can't wait
I would recommend always using a base with these eyeshadows to give the particles something to adhere too as they seemed to fade really quickly when I swatched them without one. When I used a base to re-swatch them they seemed to hold out MUCH better.

I already have my eye on a tonne of the other colours that Glamour Doll Eyes have in stock!

To see images of me wearing these eyeshadows, please feel free to check out my 'Glamour Doll Eyes' label and in the meantime go and check out the Glamour Doll Eyes website!

  1. Great choices! Ladies Night is definitely my favourite from the 6. It's such a gorgeous, dark colour that would look amazing as a smokey eye.
