Bat Lashes

Sooo, it might not be Halloween for another 9 months or so but the lovely ladies over at Eldora False Lashes sent me a bitchin' selection of badass eyelashes and when I saw this particular pair I couldn't wait to try them out and see how they looked.

They look like they might be very similiar to the Bat Lashes by Illamasqua but only cost a fraction of the price and would look great as a finishing touch to any creepy costume - I wish I had the balls to wear these on a regular night out or something because I really didn't want to take them off, haha. But I guess I'll have to wait until October to put these bad boys to good use!

Would you or do you know anybody who would wear huge crazy lashes like these out and about on a regular basis? If only I were brave enough!

Swamped

A veeeery lazy and easy look for today, although I think that these colours from Concrete Minerals seriously speak for themselves. No need for anything fancy or complicated for them to shine to their full potential. Trust me when I say that these loose eyeshadows are one of a kind.

This green eyeshadow is actually more of a deep forest green with golden undertones but instead has appeared on camera as more of a turquoiuse shade, but I thought it still looked too pretty not post, so here it is.

Paired with some very cute and flirty feathery lashes from Girls With Attitude (I just wish you could really see how beautiful they are on camera, this photograph does not do them justice!).

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

Blue Lagoon

I used this afternoon as an excuse to try out the Real Techniques Starter Set Brush Kit that my sweetheart best friend bought me as an early birthday present and - as expected - it's awesome! I'm a longtime lover of the Core Collection set so I didn't expect anything less.

I put together this look using mostly brushes from the Starter Set and was so pleased with the results. I'm stoked to finally have these brushes as part of my brush kit now. I plan on writing up about both sets eventually so keep an eye out if you're unfamiliar with these brushes or have never used them before.

Also loving these lashes by Eldora right now and have some more really badass lashes by them that I'm excited to show you soon.

All of the shadows I used are from the BH Cosmetics 120 Color Palette, which is one of my favourite palettes to use when I'm using bright colours.

Take care :)

Double Lashes

I'm a little late with this, but I'm finally well and truly in love with double stacked lashes...

I've seen ladies in the past combining two separate pairs of eyelashes together which I can imagine can get pretty expensive if you're an avid double-stacker, so I think it's awesome that a few eyelash brands seem to have started doing the work for us by putting together pre-stacked lashes.

At the moment I'm obsessed with these double lashes from Girls With Attitude, which sell for only £6 a pair on their website. Much cheaper than buying two separate pairs and gluing them together yourself!

I paired them with a softer, more feminine eye as I didn't want any of the focus to be taken away from the gorgeousness of the lashes. All of the shadows I used are from the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette, which is another product I can't seem to get enough of at the minute. I honestly didn't think I needed anymore neutral shadows in my kit but as soon as I saw this palette, I knew how wrong I was!

20 Minute Makeup

Hey guys, here's a little something that's simple and glamorous yet only takes a few minutes to apply. Each eye roughly took me about 10 minutes (if that) to complete, and it's so easy that anybody could do it. All you really need is a good blending brush and you're away!

I stuck with just one palette to make it even more convenient for those times when we're in a hurry (which I almost always am!). My big Motives palette had all the colours I had planned in my head within it, but obviously you could use whatever colours or palette you'd like.

All it takes is one shadow all over the lid, a little something to deepen the crease and a lower lash line colour. Along with optional eyeliner and mascara as normal. That's it! Effortless AND pretty, what else do you need?!

Basic Brights

Feeling really uninspired lately, but desperately wanted an excuse to play around with my Concrete Minerals eyeshadows so I quickly threw together this simple look earlier.

I saw a look using similar colours on Instagram and I really liked the colour placement, so I decided to have a go myself. Dead easy, simple and quick!

It's also worth a mention that I'm having bad trouble getting my PC connected to the internet lately which is why my posts on here and on Instagram have and will be a little sparse for a while - boo :( So don't go anywhere until I can get it fixed, haha!

Cool Blues

Using blue has always frightened me as it doesn't particularly look great on me. It doesn't really do much for my eye colour or my undertones, even though I love the colour itself.

But I have SO many beautiful blue products that it would be a huge shame not to use them on myself every once in a while, right? Seeing as it's starting to turn frosty outside as Winter sets in, I couldn't think of a better time to play with these shadows!

This whole look was based around the stunning 'Berry Frost' iBatter Tart loose eyeshadow from Beauty Bakerie, but to make sure this look wasn't too overbearingly blue, I decided to throw in a little bit of my favourite purple eyeshadow from Concrete Minerals.

Lime Crime: Pink Velvet Velvetine!

Hey lovelies. Wishing everybody a very Happy New Year! I hope everybody had an awesome time on New Years Eve and now I'm welcoming you to my first post of 2014!

What better way to kick start the year than with the hugely anticipated Pink Velvet Velvetine by Lime Crime? After the huge success of the Red Velvet and Suedeberry Velvetines (you can check those out here!), last month Lime Crime finally added the long awaited Pink Velvet to their Velvetine collection, along with a brand-spanking-new package design.

The Velvetine hype is bigger than ever following the arrival of this new addition, and rightfully so. As I wrote in my last Velvetine post, these liquid lipsticks really are well worth the dosh. Incredibly opaque, extremely long lasting on the lips, and a little really does go a long way: All the things that make a product great value for money.

I really just wanted to share my excitement about this with you and also demonstrate how gorgeous Pink Velvet is when it's worn.

What do you think? I'm in love!
