Introducing: ColourChase Cosmetics

I'm really excited to announce the launch of the brand spanking new and upcoming UK-based cosmetics brand ColourChase.com!

Specialising in ultra rich FDA regulated and approved pigments, ColourChase products will now be available to purchase online by the end of this week, so keep an eye out on their website and sign up for notifications on new and exciting news about their upcoming launch and updates on new products.

I was really thrilled to be able to sample some of their pigments this week and so far, so good! I can already tell I'm going to have a lot of fun playing around these these as you can see for yourself from the image below just how pretty their colour selection is. I'm also stoked to see the ColourChase Semi Matte lipstick range which will also be launched very shortly alongside a new range of pigments and lipglazes.

You can definitely expect to see a lot more looks coming up very soon using these pigments as I felt so spoilt for choice when I first used them to put this look together - so many beautiful shades to choose from but I thought this look would be awesome for the Springtime!

Smokey Sapphire

So yesterday I finally got round to trying out contact lenses for the very first time in my life, and after getting over the initial freak-out of trying to put them in for the first time, I'm a little bit sad I was always too grossed out by them to try them sooner because I realize there's a lot of fun to be had with them.

These ones pictured below are the GEO Hurricane lenses from EyeCandys.com in Violet, although the photographed more blue in the bright sunlight (sorry about that), but they still look gorgeous nonetheless. I was really surprised at how comfortable they are as I thought it would take a while for my eyes to adjust to them but after a couple of minutes I couldn't even tell they were there. I love how huge they make my peepers look, too! I have another pair that I'm excited to try which will no doubt be used in the next look I post.

For the rest of the eyes, I used all products by Motives and lashes from my favourite lash brand (as you can probably tell) Girls With Attitude. Have a great weekend!

St. Patrick's

It's St. Patrick's Day tomorrow, so who's going to be celebrating? I won't be - boooo - but no doubt I'll get to make up for it next weekend, heh... Hic...

Whether you're a fan of them or not - or even celebrate St Paddy's - it's pretty much standard to bring out the green eyeshadows in the makeup community when this day of the year is approaching, and I'm definitely no exception. Green is one of my favourite colours but I always feel like it doesn't really work against my skin tone or eye colour, so I love to have a good excuse to dig out my favourite green shades.

For this look today I used all shadows from the 'Smoke It Out' 36 Color Smokey Eye Shadow Palette from Crown Brush and these gorgeous super lengthening false lashes from Eldora.

I hope everybody enjoys themselves if you'll be celebrating tomorrow. Lots of love!

Mermaid Eyes

There hasn't been a cloud in the sky today here in England so it was still bright and sunny enough for me to dig out some colours later this afternoon, have a play around with my shadows and still manage to snap a decent photo - yay!

Everything has been looking so much more colourful and brighter outside lately - obviously seeing as it's almost Spring - which has been drawing me to throw together more colourful looks more so than what I normally would (I'm a self-proclaimed sucker for neutrals), and I must admit that doing your makeup is a lot more fun this way.

For this look here I was inspired by a photograph that I saw on Instagram by a gorgeous artist called withloveasmaaa - I loved her colour choices and placement so much that I had to have a go myself.

When I'd finished applying this I was left with something that I thought looked a little bit mermaid-y! What do you think?

Pink Sapphire

Only a super quick one for you today - just a picture of how I did my makeup for the day this morning. It's pretty toned down but I thought I'd snap a photo and share it anyway only because I'm really feeling the Pink Sapphire eyeshadow from the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lavish Palette so much right now.

From what I can gather from what I've seen of this eyeshadow over on Instragram, it looks pretty beautiful on both blue and brown eyes, and is a nice shade if you want to add just a little bit more colour into your typical daily makeup look without going too overboard, like what I did here.

Because I wanted to stick to keeping it simple for quickness and easiness, all of the shadows I used are from the Lavish palette.

EYES:
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Orange Soda' eyeshadow (from the 'Lavish' palette) blended into crease
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Sienna' eyeshadow (from the 'Lavish' palette) to deepen crease and along lower lash line
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Pink Sapphire' eyeshadow (from the 'Lavish' palette) all over lid
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Cream' eyeshadow to highlight brow bone
  • Eyeko Eye Do Skinny Liquid Eyeliner by Alexa Chung to line eyes
  • MAC 'Blacktrack' Fluidline to line upper and lower waterlines
  • Eyeko Skinny Brush Mascara
  • Girls With Attitude 'Swept Away' false lashes (from the 'Glamour' collection)

Smokey Purple And Vibrant Yellow

I'm a little teeny bit freaked out that we're already in March now D: Seems like 2014 is already going to be another year that flies by weirdly fast... So I guess I'd better get my arse into gear and start showing you some more looks.

Here's my first photo for this March; like in my last post from February, I used my treasured Concrete Minerals loose matte eyeshadows because they're always my first choice when I have something more colourful in mind. Apart from being crazy pigmented, they apply and blend SO amazingly that doing your eyeshadow becomes almost effortless. Perfect if you're running short on time.

I really like when purple and yellow or gold are combined together, buuut it does usually makes me think of the Lakers and people always seem to love pointing that out! I wasn't too sure about the over-extended eyeliner at first either but once I'd finished the look off it all seemed to come together and it grew on me a little more.

I have a few ideas for looks I'd like to do next but if anyone has any colour combo suggestions drop me a comment below!

EYES:
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion
  • Urban Decay 'Strange' eyeshadow (from the 'Naked 3' palette) to highlight brow bone
  • Concrete Minerals 'Queen' Pro Matte eyeshadow in crease, inner and outer corners and lower lash line
  • Concrete Minerals 'Fame' Pro Matte eyeshadow on center of lid
  • Concrete Minerals 'Jet' Pro Matte eyeshadow to deepen inner and outer corners and lower lash line
  • MAC 'Blacktrack' Fluidline to line eyes and upper and lower waterlines
  • Rimmel Extra Wow Lash mascara
  • Motives by Loren Ridinger #109 false lashes
